A dream come true!
Hello! welcome to our holiday home away from home.
Our journey started with our rescue dogs Luke (fast asleep in the lounge above and now sadly over Rainbow bridge) and Leo, trying to find a location that was perfect for our 'once a year doggie holiday'. We discovered Pembrokeshire in 2017, and have completely fallen in love with it. Dog friendly beaches everywhere and pubs and restaurants that welcome them too, with spellbinding walks along some of the best coastal paths the UK has to offer and the ONLY national coastal park in the UK!
We had been saving for many years dreaming of owning a holiday home, and we watched our house and two others on the market for over a year, so we took the leap of faith in 2019, completing the purchase of our house on May 2nd. We had a frantic 3 visits before it was fully booked out for the summer, replacing dated furniture and pictures into the lounge and house, updating the bedrooms with new soft furnishings and beds, updating the contents of the kitchen, new microwave and fridge, and making sure the garden and wooden decks were safe. We like shabby chic beach vibes.
Our improvements continued in September 19 after our last summer guests left, with new decks x 3, and an extension on the lounge deck, new sealed unit windows and doors including a fab stable door on the back, and we changed it to the Lavender House with a bold fun colour. A new fridge freezer too.
2020 started in January with an upgrade to a King size bed in the master bedroom, decorated and new carpet, and in March we painted the lounge white along with the kitchen, stairs, landing with new carpet too. We also painted the twin room. The fridge decided to pack up just outside of its warranty, so Fridge freezer number two arrived.
2022 saw the main bathroom and the master en-suite completely revamped, a new double bed, and a double oven cooker replacing the single built in oven and hob (we love cooking!).
2023 Jan, saw a new floor laid in the kitchen and downstairs loo, new fencing, and a lovely new round patio replacing the wooden deck, and our THIRD fridge arrived (thankfully the other was in warranty)! We think the house has a fridge jinx on it personally.
2023 March saw a mahoosive new fence and retaining wall mended on the Longhouse Side, and the wooden deck removed and a stone patio fitted.
We keep busy.
